About Us

Holy Trinity Church is the Parish Church of Broadstairs on the north east Kent coast. Originally a daughter church of St. Peter in Thanet , the present building dates from 1830, with 1925 additions in an Italianate style, creating a very large open space with wonderful acoustics.

Our liturgy is firmly Anglican, with an underlying catholic spirituality and catholic ceremonial - incense is used every Sunday morning, and we enjoy processions on feast days. We seek to be inclusive and once a month all ages worship together.

The parish priest, Father David Roper, was appointed in January 2008 and is also Rector of the Canterbury Chapter of the Society of Catholic Priests which welcomes both men and women in Holy Orders.

At Petertide 2010 Stefan Thomas is to be ordained Deacon at Canterbury Cathedral. The Reverend Stefan will continue his work at Chatham House Grammar School in addition to joining the Ministry Team at HTB.
