BROADSTAIRS CHILDRENS CHOIR
This is aimed at children from the town who enjoy singing and run by Maren Dechant on Mondays 5-6.15pm in church. If you would like to offer occasional help, please speak to Maren or Father David. The aim is for the choir to sing occasionally in church , enter singing competitions and generally enjoy music together. There will be a small charge for choir members and we hope it will become self-funding. Please remember this new venture in your prayers.
HEALING AND WHOLENESS
Recently a number from our congregation completed the introductory course on Healing & Wholeness run by Amanda Evans from the Living Well in Nonington and have joined our team who share in the ministry of the laying on of hands. To further enhance this ministry we have introduced an evening service every 3rd Sunday which will be focussed on this aspect of ministry(rather than the laying on of hands being tacked on to the end of Evensong). The service uses modern music and chants and offers an opportunity to take part in a ‘relaxed’ service as we explore various ways in which we are in need of healing – which is not just about those who are ill.
A CONGREGATION WITH…
The evening service on the 4th Sunday will take a different approach! Each month we will have an invited speaker who will talk to us or lead discussion for 30-40 minutes followed by an short informal act of worship. This month: Rev Kerry Thorpe who will speak about 'New Forms of Church'
BRAIN ENGAGE
A new service for the second Sunday evening will be led by Fr Derek, and will be a time of interactive study followed by Compline.
